Wasn't traveling this month so decided to show my girls some love and hosted my first galentines! ❤️ The past couple of years have been tough and I appreciate these girls for showing up for me! I know no matter what...through thick or thin, even when I'm at my worst...they will be there to love and support me! Female friendships are so special! My heart is full!💗(to my girls who couldn't make it, we missed having you there & love y'all too!)

Day 1: Arrive in Stonetown, Check-in at Neela Hotel & and check out Forodhani Night Market

-Try "Zanzibar pizza"
-Visit the boys who hold up the Welcome to Zanzibar sign and jump into the water

Day 2: Stonetown Walking Tour, Swahili Restaurant for Lunch

-Learn about Zanzibar’s history and visit historic and cultural sites such as: the Old Fort, House of Wonders, and the Old Slave Market
-Lunch at Emerson on Hurumzi's rooftop
-Sunset at Views rooftop (@ Neela hotel)

Day 3: Nakupenda Sandbar & Swimming with Turtles

-In the morning take a boat out to Nakupenda Sandbar for fruits on the beach and a swim
-Visit Salaam Cave to swim with turtles (these ones don’t bite like elsewhere in Zanzibar)

Day 4: Check-in at Upendo & The Rock Restaurant

-Relax on the beach then...
-walk over to the Rock Restaurant for lunch (2 min walk from the hotel- it’s directly across)

Day 5: Sunday Boho Brunch, Luxury Dhow Boat Sailing Trip

-Enjoy Upendo’s Sunday brunch- a spread of fresh tropical fruits, delicious pastries, and local delicacies, all enjoyed with a live DJ setting the perfect ambiance
-In the afternoon head out on a Luxury Dhow Boat Sailing Trip with fresh lobster lunch or fruit tray

Day 6: Check-in at Baladin & Floating Breakfast & A Starfish Paradise

-Indulge in floating breakfast for only $10 in the infinity pool overlooking the ocean
-Head out on a 1 hr boat trip to see the starfish

Day 7: Relaxation & Departure

-Chill on the beach one last time then head to the airport in Stonetown

Things I loved about this boutique hotel!⬇️

-You can get floating breakfast for under 10$ in their infinity pool in front of their beach

-They support the Massai people by employing them at the hotel & the Maasai are so welcoming so the hotel offers a bit of a community vibe

-It's only a 10 min walk on the beach get to Zanzibar's famous The Rock Restaurant  -The hotel has lots of places to relax- swing chairs, loungers, hammocks, and many of these spots are under trees for shade but also right in front to the beach- so you can take a break from the sun/beach but still relax and have ocean views! 
-Large two-storey rooms with 2 bedrooms and multiple beds- great for a group of 3 friends or a family

-The restaurant serves a wide range of food from local seafood to pizza and salads

-Rates start at only 190$ USD per night

Happy 14th Birthday to my son Jayden, my fave travel partner and congrats on hitting 20 countries last week on our annual bday trip! 💙Becoming a single mom when he was 4 yrs old was not something I ever imagined for myself! Because of it I started travelling with him a bit later than I wanted to, but I worked hard and stayed focussed on living out my dream for the past 10 years! Proud of myself and LOVE this milestone for him and for us! So many incredible memories to look back on forever! FYI..His dad also travelled with him to many of these 20 countries- so kudos to him for making those trips happen and I know they also have their own great memories too!

A beautiful fruit platter, a bottle of wine, cushions, ocean inspired decor, and music made this a luxe experience, while cruising on the gorgeous turquoise water in Jambiani.
