6 amazing things YOU MUST DO in Guatemala! 🇬🇹

1. First up, cook a pizza on an actual volcano! Yes, you heard that right—bake a pizza using the heat of active volcanic rocks on Pacaya volcano. I rode a horse to get up the volcano but you can also hike up.🥘🌋
2. Next, take a night street food tour. It’s the best way to taste authentic Guatemalan flavors and experience the vibrant local culture in the towns outside of Antigua. 🌮✨
3. Don’t miss a chocolate-making class! Learn about the rich history of cacao in Guatemala and make your own delicious chocolate. 🍫
4. Explore the ruins at the San Jose Cathedral for a glimpse into Guatemala’s history with stunning architecture. 🏛️
5. Head to Hobbitenango, a magical eco-park inspired by The Hobbit where you can take in amazing views, explore hobbit-style houses, & snap photos with unique art installations.🌳
6. Last but not least, don’t miss visiting Lake Atitlán! It’s one of Guatemala’s most breathtaking spots. TULUM mini Travel Guide:⬇️🇲🇽

When to Visit: Go from November to March. Otherwise, there will be seaweed all over the beach!

Money: Tulum is expensive, so set a budget and do your research because the cost of partying, food and drinks can really add up and easily blow your budget. There aren't many ATM’s and they often have line ups. I recommend bringing enough cash with you and getting it before arriving in Tulum. If you have to visit an ATM there, try to only do it once. Not everywhere takes credit cards so cash is necessary.

Where to Stay: Consider if you want to stay on the beach or in town or divide your stay between both so you can plan excursions when you stay in town and then do most of your partying or dinner reservations when at the beach.

How to get around: Bikes are everywhere in Tulum, are easy to rent and a great way to travel from the beach to the town. Your hotel might even lend you bikes during your stay. You can easily hire a taxi as well to get around but it's expensive and can quickly add up. If you are wanting to to do day trips (Cenotes, Mayan ruins etc.), I recommend renting a car, which is what I did. If you just want to visit Playa Del Carmen or get to Cancun, you can take the ADO bus which is very cheap.
